Edits That Work is a woman-owned and operated editing agency that focuses on making every writer feel good about their writing. All projects are assigned an editor and while most projects are reviewed and edited by the founder, there is a pool of editors we contact with during peak season.
Unlike AI, our copy editors provide personalized edits that preserve your voice and strengthen your writing into its finest version, one edit at a time.

What started out as editing important documents for friends and family quickly transpired into freelancing for various companies who needed ghostwriting for various projects, editing admissions essays, or polishing cover letters and resumes.
Now I provide the same service without the middleman. My editing is not as quick as AI, but you are guaranteed a thorough edit and review by an expert dedicated to making your voice the only thing your audience remembers - one edited word at a time.

What types of editing do you provide?
We provide line-by-line edits and comments with track changes so you know all the changes.
Will editing change my style or voice?
Absolutely not! Your writing style and voice are what make your writing yours. The key to good writing is how well it reads. Editors improve readability while preserving your voice.
How is an editor different than AI?
AI editing is formulaic, it doesn't understand nuance and tone, the corrections are generic and there is no human accountability. When you work directly with an editor you avoid all the problems of AI and instead you get to maintain your voice, engage your audience and get personalized feedback.
