These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of Edits That Work (“we,” “us,” “our”) and the editing services we provide (“Services”). By accessing or using our website or Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Services Provided

We offer document editing, proofreading, formatting suggestions, and related services. All deliverables are provided exclusively via electronic delivery.

You are responsible for ensuring your submitted documents are complete, accurate, and in an editable format.

 

2. Electronic Delivery

All completed work is delivered electronically via:

  • Email to the address provided at checkout, and/or

  • A secure download link or client portal (if applicable)

Once the final edited files have been successfully sent, the order is considered delivered.

 

2.1 Proof of Delivery

A successfully sent email containing the final files or download link constitutes proof of delivery.
We are not responsible for:

  • Incorrect email addresses provided by the client

  • Emails filtered into spam/junk folders

  • Client-side technical issues preventing access to delivered files

If you do not receive your files, you must notify us within 7 days so we can resend them.

 

3. Turnaround Times

Estimated turnaround times are displayed at checkout and begin only after:

  1. Payment is received, and

  2. We receive all required documents and instructions.

We make reasonable efforts to meet all stated deadlines.

 

4. Money-Back Guarantee

If we fail to deliver your order within the guaranteed timeframe associated with the service level you selected, you are entitled to a 100% refund.

 

4.1 Exclusions

The money-back guarantee does not apply if delays result from:

  • Late submission of files or instructions

  • Unclear, incomplete, or contradictory instructions

  • Requests for additional services or revisions that affect the original timeline

  • Technical issues on the client’s side (e.g., inability to open the files)

  • Force majeure events (e.g., disasters, internet outages)

 

5. Revisions

Unless otherwise stated in your service package, minor revisions directly related to the original order may be requested within 48 hours of delivery.

Revisions are also delivered electronically and may have their own turnaround times.

 

6. Payment and Pricing

Prices for our Services are listed on our website and may change at any time.
Payment must be completed before any work begins.

We accept the payment methods listed on our site.

7. Quality and Limitations

While we strive for the highest quality of editing, our Services do not guarantee:

  • Publication acceptance

  • Specific academic grades

  • Approval by third-party reviewers or institutions

You remain responsible for the final use and accuracy of your documents.

 

8. Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of your original content.
By submitting your documents, you grant us a limited license to edit, modify, and return them to you solely for the purpose of providing our Services.

We claim no ownership over the edited content.

 

9. Confidentiality

All documents and personal information you provide are kept strictly confidential.
We do not share, sell, or publish your content under any circumstances, except as required by law.

 

10. Prohibited Use

You agree not to use our Services for:

  • Plagiarism or academic dishonesty

  • Illegal, harmful, or unethical activities

  • Submission of content that violates intellectual property rights

We reserve the right to refuse service if we determine your use violates these terms.

 

11. Disclaimer of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

  • Loss of data

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

  • Technical issues beyond our control

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service.

 

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Alaska,US, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

 

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time.
Continued use of our website or Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
